Project Manager/Estimator - Plumbing Division

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join our plumbing division. The ideal candidate brings strong plumbing estimating experience, solid analytical skills, and the ability to troubleshoot issues throughout the project lifecycle. A skilled Project Manager/Estimator in our plumbing division can effectively oversee, estimate, and manage projects with expert accuracy and care.
  • Estimating projects for bid submittal by reading plans and specs, calculating quantities, gathering quotes and submittals, constructing the bid in Heavy Bid.
  • Attend pre-con meetings to ensure all parties; project managers, operation managers and superintendents are on the same page with communication, coordination, and tracking.
  • Obtain permits and licenses.
  • Manage costs with HCSS for labor, equipment, and materials.
  • Manage billing to ensure accuracy of invoicing and recording of accounts receivable.
  • Reviews and codes accounts payable to ensure proper job costing is achieved.
  • Obtains approval and documentation for any work scope changes.
  • Coordinates communication with the project owner, engineers, and internal management team to ensure work is completed on time and on budget.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management preferred or a minimum of 6+ years combined in civil construction, project management, or commercial plumbing estimating.
  • Knowledge of plumbing and piping installation.
  • HCSS Heavy Bid and Heavy Job experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent time and self-management skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Efficient management skills to improve the productivity of teams and work standards.
  • Ability to multitask in a proficient manner.
  • Have a history of building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Have a proven ability to communicate effectively with managers, co-workers, suppliers, customers, and subcontractors.
  • Ability to multitask in a proficient manner.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work after hours if required.
